Looking to make contact with the above. A long lost relative. I found him after much effort approx 24 ish years ago and we met a few time in glasgow. but then i moved to Devon to study and lost contact again. Just hoping to say hello after all this time, and see he's alright...and, maybe get to know each other a bit - we are both getting old...and it seems to matter to me that I try. Any information would be appreciated. Cathie x

Have you contacted the two members that have a Ronald in their trees

Did someone send this for review because of the date of birth is given.

Defeats the object as the date of birth is given in the heading or was it for some other reason

Shame the person who did it did not own up and say why

Why has this been reported?

Date of birth still showing if that was the problem

Maybe a pm to the poster would have been better.

Lovely welcome to the site for a new poster :-(

Edit - bit slow typing GB

Well thanks folks but I am going to back out of the site. I made a mistake that's all. I genuinely didn't know how it all goes...but it feels too risky and unfriendly. I am sorry if any damage was done to anyone's identity. Wasn't my intention. Cathie

You can edit the title of the post to remove the exact date of birth Cathie

No harm done as Genes put the post back...so they did'nt think it was a problem anyway

I cannot see anything unfriendly with what Glitterbaby or myself have said........If you have had a private message from anyone, I would just ignore it

Cathie

Please just edit the title to show only the year of birth.

There is a bar above your original message which includes the word EDIT.......please use it.

It is against GR's T&C's to display the exact DOB of a person who may be living

If you don't wish to continue the search, you should consider deleting the post

Have you followed the advice about trying to contact others with him in GR trees?

If you do send a message to others who have him in their trees I would suggest that you delete the automated "can I see your tree" message that is there and write your own outlining who you are looking for.

Thanks for the responses. Frankly I don't really understand the technicalities of what to do to make it more salvageable so I will just leave the posting now as it is.. It has anyway been re-edited to something more .'acceptible' by the support team. Thanks for some of you trying to help. Gosh ....who would have thought it was this tricky...but thankyou all anyway.
