Thank you for your replies.

I know very little of Shirley other than there is a possible MARTIN connection to the USA and Shirley is about age 65 and believed to still be living in England. Knowledge of maiden name and married names is not entirely clear I tend to use capitals to denote surname.

I am novice when it comes to posting information in an open forum about living people and so cautious as to what to reveal.

Researching:
Paternal surname is MARTIN. Associated names include, Barnett, Biggs, Bond, Candy, Flattery, SharkeySherkey/Shirkey. Earliest known MARTIN came from Magdeburg, Prussia (now Germany) and settled in Frome, Somerset, England in 1815. Known, maternal surnames are CRISP (mother), GORDON (grandmother), FRYAR (great grandmother) and NORMAN (great great grandmother).

There was a Farndell/Simms marriage in 1982, which I discounted because of the use of CAPITALS to imply correct spelling.

In that link, why does she say they were married in May 1944?

However, what I also find interesting is her total openness as to family, addresses, contact details, photos etc etc.

I can see no sign of anyone called Massie marrying any Simms or Farndale or any combination thereof.
