The rule about not adding living persons to your tree without their permission applies to the Genes tree.

Andrew Taylor is an ex brother-in-law, was interested in adding information on his family to my tree for his two children to know about.

I don't mind anyone commenting on my requests for information - feel free to do so

Found it by going to help at the top of the screen...Family Tree....Living Relatives

Living relatives

Members must have permission to add the names of any living relations to their tree.

If a member has added the names of living members of your family to their tree then we can ask them to remove them. Please send a full list of any living names and their years of birth that have been added without permission to the Genes Reunited support team.

It would also really help the support team if you could send in full details of the person who has added these names. When you see your own name or your family names in the search results, you can click on the link to send the tree owner a message. On the next page you'll see their membership number. Please include this name and number in your email to us.

We will then contact the member who added them on your behalf.

If you want to add them to your tree on here, you will need permission.

If they were scottish you will need scotlandspeople which is a pay to view site, not sure what recent info is available on there either.

How do you know Janice passed away this year?

Contact eventually yes - but in meantime information like dates, perhaps marriages, so I can add to my tree.

Searching for any information on the TAYLOR family. Only information I have is -

Mother - Jan
Father - John
Children - Andrew Reid b1954,
Carol
Janice (passed away 2013)
Ian
I think they lived at some time in Glasgow Scotland
Not much to go on - any help greatly appreciated
