Find Living Relatives

Iam looking for my birth father, my mothers name at the time was jackie horrigan and she knew my father as lou, at the time of my birth he was around 23 yrs old and they were both living in slough. At the time he was working on the slough trading estate as a metal plater and was living in wellesley avenue.i think they may have meet at the star and garter windsor and i know he went to the carlton ballroom in slough 1963/64, any help would be greatly appreciated...

Do you live locally still? My advice would be to go to where the archives are kept (usually the nearest main library) and check the electoral register for that street around 1964. If he was eligible to vote he might be registered there. That way you will have his full name.
Obviously don't put on here, but does your mother know anything else whatsoever - his birthplace or names of friends/family?

no she knows nothing she knows his friends name but come to a dead end with that one, do not think people want to get involved which i understand, i will look on electoral roll, i no the name of the woman he was seeing after my mum and i think i have found the right person but dont really no what to say, i feel so sorry for my mum she just knew him by his first name and she feels so bad, she was young, there are two streets within the same area tried one will try the other thank you for the reply,,

if he was about 23, 50 years ago ................. I doubt he would still be working, or that anyone who knew him then would still be working there now.

Thank you all for your replies and i will go and search the electoral roll as im only a short distance away from slough, i have looked on free bdm but im not sure he was born in the area at the time a lot of people moved out of london into slough, it is a shame he never found me i will not go into it for personal reasons but he would have never found me due to name changes ect and not long after my birth we went to australia for a few years, even if he had gone to my nans she would have told him nothing, i do know the name of the company he worked for but didnt think they would be able to give out info on who worked for them :-D
