Hi Gwyn and patchem,

Thanks for your suggestions. I did have the immigration info. and I do not know what the initial 'P' stands for. Percy is a name used in the family, but that is a guess. James was born abroad as his father was a police Inspector for the Straits settlement.

I have looked for Mary Agnes marriage, with no luck and she probably would not have needed to, as she would likely get a reasonable pension from her husbands service. The list of marriages between 1934 and 1944, is quite long, so I do not know which would be hers even if it was in the list.

I was told that James worked for a large store in Kingston upon Thames, but that is only hearsay.

Still looking.

Have you looked to see if anyone on here has Mary or Arthur in their trees so that you can make contact with other potential relatives?

Do you know the middle name for James....initial.. P according to passenger list..?
That might help find him as the surname is fairly common.

Probate record shows Arthur died 1 July 1934 in Sidcup.
Admin granted to his widow Mary Agnes.

She was relatively young.... I wonder if she remarried?
If we track her and find her death maybe James registered that and an address would be shown on her certificate...........?

The above was born in what is now Malaysia, but returned to England, when quite young. He lived for some time in Sidcup, Kent. His Parents names were:- Arthur Leigh Weston Pearson and Mary Agnes nee Lineham. James if still alive, would be my 1C1R and a vital link in my family tree. I would be grateful for any news.
