Dear Reggie
Thank you for your help. Hon. Mrs Fitzmaurice laid the foundation stone of St Peter's Church, Furze Platt, Maidenhead in 1897. Due to rebuilding work the stone is now in a more prominent position and I have been asked to write a little bit about Mrs Fitzmaurice and thought it would be good if there was a photograph. By working through the censuses and other information I was able to discover one of her descendants. Unfortunately he does not have any photographs of his ancestress, although as she was a wealthy lady she must surely have been photographed many times. I had hoped other descendants might come forward.
