Andrea Giddings born 1964 in Glasgow

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Linda66 Report 28 Aug 2013 11:31

I am trying to find a relative called Andrea Giddings who was born in Glasgow in 1964. Her mother was called Isabella Martin Giddings born in 1945, who I believe married a Peter Daly McDougall in 1967. I have found a death entry for 2003 who I believe is her and there is another surname on there called McCauslin, maybe she married again.

Please can anyone help me in finding Andrea :-)

if the family lived in Scotland then BMD,s are on Scotlands People which isnt a subs site. Plus for the years you are looking for you cant view records online you have to order the cert through them

The details I have already I have got from the Scotland's people site but it is not showing any marriage for Andrea. If she is married maybe it wasn't in Scotland. Not sure where to go next! If I get the birth certificate it will only tell what I already know. Many thanks for your reply.

England /Wales .

4 Births and 3 Marriages for a match name.

Could she have changed to McDougall with being so young.?

Linda66 Report 30 Aug 2013 20:33

Thanks Kay I will try that surname. Many thanks for your help

patchem Report 31 Aug 2013 08:48

Have you put Andrea or Isabella in your tree on here, as then relatives of either could contact you?

Linda66 Report 12 Sep 2013 20:52

Is there anyway of telling when someone was last on this site. It is frustrating when you message someone about possible family connections and they don't reply! Maybe they set up their tree and never returned. Do we have anyway of knowing if they have opened the message! All help very much appreciated.

I think the last question has been answered on another thread on which you asked it

Linda66 Report 13 Sep 2013 13:09

The question has been answered I made a mistake and posted it on someone else's post! Sorry Reggie I'm just getting the hang of all this :-S

Linda66 Report 13 Dec 2013 18:14

Still not getting anywhere! Can anyone please help! I have found out that Andrea was born on 13.01.64 in Glasgow.

The names of McDougall & McCauslin on Andrea's mother's death certificate would indicate that she was married twice.
If you have a copy of Andrea's birth certificate it will tell you if there is a named father on the certificate.
The other option is to buy a copy of the death certificate which is more recent.
This will give you the name of the person who registered the death.
You are unable to access either of these certificates on line
From personal experience I would opt for buying the most recent death certificate.
