I am trying to find a relative called Andrea Giddings who was born in Glasgow in 1964. Her mother was called Isabella Martin Giddings born in 1945, who I believe married a Peter Daly McDougall in 1967. I have found a death entry for 2003 who I believe is her and there is another surname on there called McCauslin, maybe she married again.

Please can anyone help me in finding Andrea :-)

if the family lived in Scotland then BMD,s are on Scotlands People which isnt a subs site. Plus for the years you are looking for you cant view records online you have to order the cert through them

The details I have already I have got from the Scotland's people site but it is not showing any marriage for Andrea. If she is married maybe it wasn't in Scotland. Not sure where to go next! If I get the birth certificate it will only tell what I already know. Many thanks for your reply.

Have you put Andrea or Isabella in your tree on here, as then relatives of either could contact you?

Is there anyway of telling when someone was last on this site. It is frustrating when you message someone about possible family connections and they don't reply! Maybe they set up their tree and never returned. Do we have anyway of knowing if they have opened the message! All help very much appreciated.

The names of McDougall & McCauslin on Andrea's mother's death certificate would indicate that she was married twice.
If you have a copy of Andrea's birth certificate it will tell you if there is a named father on the certificate.
The other option is to buy a copy of the death certificate which is more recent.
This will give you the name of the person who registered the death.
You are unable to access either of these certificates on line
From personal experience I would opt for buying the most recent death certificate.
