Eileen was Marks grandmother but I dont know what relation Mark thought he was to her. See what you mean, when my mum has met with her son this weekend ill ask her for more info - she has never mentioned half siblongs which is strange as they would have surely lived with her at some point.

So Eileen was Anthony's grandmother and not aunt?

I still think that birth is a relation. There are only 2 Baker/Cree births on Ancestry and that one happens to be in the correct area.

maybe its not the right person.then as I had thought she was still in County Down.at that time. My mum was born in 1947, County Down - her name Margaret Agnes Cree , mother Eileen Cree married a Mr Baker. My mum has not mentioned a brother or sister and she lived with them on and off into her teens.
Thanks for all your help. Even.ruling lines of enquiry out help.

If you look on FreeBMD, it looks as though Eileen had a son in 1953. Correct area for it.

Thank you, I have wrote to this Mark Cree/Baker but not had any response yet certainly looks like it could be the right person. (someone must of PM'd me the lead)
Could anyone help me with trying to find out who Eileen Baker (maiden name Cree) was married to? I think the odds are she married in Northern Ireland, probably County Down as that is the area the family came from. I have found a death certificate for an Eileen Baker saying she died in 1995, born in 1928. This could well be her but not sure?
Just trying to get an idea of the bigger picture, I figure the more I can add in my family tree the more likely of a lead somewhere. (plus this is becoming a very addictive interest!)

Just to reiterate what Rose has said, an address in Knighton Lane lists both Mark Cree and Mark Baker living in the same house. Coincidence? However, his last recorded occupancy was Oct 2006, but that's not to say he isn't still there.

Donna, the one mentioned is on the electoral roll on here, you can use 10 credits to view. I assume that will show full address.

Go to 'Search' at top right of page, and when you click on it you can see 'electoral rolls' , do a search for mark cree on there.

DonnaHunter

DonnaHunter Report 9 Sep 2013 21:15

that would fit but how are you seeing the Baker thing?

i don't know how to use 192.com properly - do I have to pay to see full address? Also what are my credits on this site for? I am assuming they may help me access something but don't know what to do - advice please?

If you look on 192.com, there is a Mark Cree in 2004 in Leicester. He also appears to be known as Mark Baker. No middle name is listed.

Here's the latest:
I have spelling his name wrong which has probably had everyone on a wild goose chase so sorry about that :( It is spelt Mark Anthony Cree.
He stayed with Eileen Baker and her husband.
Making some headway through the Deaf community, e-mailed someone as BDA who has forwarded my message to lots of people and I have been added onto some facebook pages in the Derby area with some people speaking to Mark Cree at the school reunion last year (hopefully the same one, fingers crossed) so hoping through playing human dot to dot can get to connecting with him!!! Even it's to rule out that I have the wrong person or they don't want contact.
He was last known to be living in the Leicester area so will mither :) Leicester facebook groups too.

I don't have them. My mum does not like discussing the background to this. If any more details come out i'll update though.
