I would like to add to this post again this evening but not sure I dare - for some unknown reason I couldnt read the replies yesturday and despite people thinking Im bonkers I can say that Ive used the boards several times and its never happened before - so sorry for any confusion - it could happen to YOUUUUUU ha ha!

Anyway I did receive the info I needed but would also now like to ask another question if I may (not sure if it should still be on this thread as it refers to the same couple??

CHILDREN: Phyllis Rayner (nee Kirkpatrick) married Harold A Langton in M/cr in 1961. I am unable to find any children to that marriage in England but as Im now told they went at some point to Scotland (where they have sinced passed away) I was wondering if anyone could check Scottish records for any possible children? If not I am happy to search for myself if someone could tell me the best (and hopefully not too expensive) Scottish site I could get some subs with?

Thanks for any information/advice

Regards
Cathie ps I shall sit here nervously waiting to see if all works ok this evening ha ha! ;-)

Hello - I dont know what happened with Genes last night but it wouldnt let me read my replies (HONESTLY!) the reason I knew a couple of people had replied was because on the thread it where it shows how many replies youve had it also shows who the Last Person was who posted and the time they posted.

I saw that Shirley had replied so sent her a PM with an apology and then saw Glitterbaby had also replied so did the same to her (or visa versa) I couldnt even see my own replies on the thread that Id posted saying "I couldnt see replies". I also couldnt see my PMs until I logged out and in again several times although I could see there was a PM waiting.

Not sure what was happening but I have used the boards for years and never had that happened before. So peeps Im not nuts (well not much anyway) so THANKYOU all very much for taking the time to reply and I now have the info that I need.

Regards
Cathie :-D

This doesn't make sense,

Cathie, if you can't see the replies how did you manage to click on Shirley's name to pm her. How did you know she'd responded to your query?

The current occupants of the address do not have the name Langton. They have been there since 2009

A Phyllis Langton was there 2002-3-------------and Harold Arthur until 2007

The assumption must be that Phyllis died, and Harold either died, or sold the house and moved elsewhere

hello
Does anyone have access to the Electorol roll by any chance?

We are looking for a lady by the name of Phyllis Langton who married a Harold A Langton in 1961 (it was her 2nd marriage) in Manchester. (She was previoysly known as Kirkpatrick then Rayner before becoming Mrs Langton)

I think Ive found them on 192.com in Biggar, Lanarkshire but it is a few years old. I can pay for subs for the info on 192 but before I do I was wondering if anyone has access to the ER and maybe a more up o date one that the one on 192?

Any info or advice very gratefully received
many thanks
Cathie :-)
