I have not seen my son since 1979/80. His mother and I divorced and she moved away to Sussex and remarried. My sons birth name is ALASTAIR JAMES SYME born 1974 in Devizes, Wiltshire. I have a strong feeling that his name was changed to BOLAN. Can anyone PLEASE point me in the right direction so as I can find ALASTAIR. I am ill and would love to meet him before it is too late.
Thanks a lot
John

looks like he was adopted because his birth ref has a small s againts the page nos this means if anyone other than him apply s for the birth cert they will only get a small version of the cert which wont show parent/parents names

Did you give permission for the step dad to adopt him ?

One possible record under Bolan............but only for 2002

Nothing on BT for the name/address as per 2002

So the person may have moved, or simply opted out of the ER, and chosen to be ex-directory. Or, more likely, not have a landline phone...........

No trace of a marriage - at least, not in England/Wales
