Hi David
The 'National Library of NZ' (on-line) has an 'Ask Us' librarian service -they will check electoral rolls (past & present) and even newspaper death notices -for less common names -if given approx dates etc.

There are 3 phone entries in NZ here

There is no guarantee that he is any one of them. It might be worth a few letters perhaps?

David Report 2 Mar 2014 21:37

I am trying to find out about my first cousin's son mentioned above.
I believe that Ian was born in Australia in 1963, the son of David and Athalia Murray. David and Athalia had emigrated to Australia in 1960.
They then moved from Australia to New Zealand in 1970 and I have found record of them living in Tokoroa in the electoral role in 1981. I am aware that Athalia died in 1994 but wondered what has become of the son, Ian.
