Trying to find Lilian Mabel Allsop (nee Williams)

I am trying to find my birth mother. She was born Lilian Mabel Williams in St Mary's, Isles of Scilly on 13th June 1935. After my parents were divorced she married a John Allsop and they emigrated to Toronto in Canada sometime in the 1960's. She had 3 more children who I think are called Kamala, Caroline and Andrew. I don't know whether she is still alive, but all my efforts to trace her have so far come to nothing. Thank you, Jackie

Just to start with, have you put her and her parents in your tree on here, so that if any of her children come looking they can find you?

There is a Kamala Allsop on Linkedin. So if she has kept her maiden name, or not married - try a google search

Putting her name into facebook also gives your family photo and more hotspex information.

There is an address and phone number for a K Allsop in Toronto - which might be anyone with name beginning with K - have a search (411)

RobynLaura, to make contact through LinkedIn you have to have a paid account ... and while it gives a monthly amount, it is like here at genesreunited, it's really 12 x that amount for a year

however her LinkedIn profile gives what should be her present position, did you search for the website for that organization?

you could use it to ask that your name and email address be passed on to her about a family connection or something equally vague but nice :-)

search for her first name at that page and there is a direct email address that should work

(but note that it is a businesss account so I would still be discreet and ask whether you can contact her at a personal account maybe)

Thank you very much patchem and JoonieCloonie for all your help. I am now very pleased to report that I have been able to make contact with Kamala Allsop and, through her, find Lilian Allsop. I have been trying to find her for many years and the community at GenesReunited has finally made it happen. Thank you.
