If not, did the information come from your mother-in-law?
Did she refer to him only as Paddy, or as Patrick?

Im still looking for my husbands father.... hes never met him and would mean alot to find him as his mother passed suddenly in 2012 ...its a missing piece to his life and where is from

Was his birth name Patrick?. Paddy is short for Padraig.

Thank you for your replies but I dont have much to go on as my husband never knew is father and we are only going on what we know.
Paddy met my mother in law in Tottenham in early 1970s, Darren was born Dec 1975,
Paddy had a sister (possibly a twin) and he also had at least 1 brother.
Their family were originally from Cork or area of, and had Romany Gypsy blood.
Paddy also fathered a daughter 1974

is Paddy a near relative? if so and he was married you should be able to find his

marriage and the cert should give his dads name,if known

There is a birth of a Paddy Berry in Hackney in 1951. His given name is Paddy and not Patrick.

There is also a girl born the following year with the same mother's maiden name so could be a sister.

There are a lot of Patrick Berry births around that time so without knowing his parent's names it is difficult to be sure of the right one.
