Vernon and Jean were married in St Andrews Plaistow London.
He was stationed at the U. S. airforce base Lakenheath Suffolk.
Jean sister Evelyn also married a U.S airman Melvin Leroy Dornsife,then emigrated to the U.S with their mother Alice.
