Hi,
Looking for descendants of my gt gt grandparents John and Ann Ward (nee McManus) originally from Leitrim, Ireland. 1911 census shows Ann living in Christine Street, Shaw with 3 of her children - John Joseph b 1857 Hong Kong, Catherine b 1861 South Africa and Ellen b 1865 Ramsbottom; also 3 of her grandchildren - William Sharrocks c 1888 Rochdale, Catherine Ward c 1906 and Thomas Ward c 1907. Hi and thank you for the welcome. My paternal grandfather is James Ambrose Sharrocks, son of William and Clarissa. I can't seem to find their marriage either, but can't see them not being married. Marriage must have taken place between 1881 census and before 1888.

On the 1911 census.......William Sharrocks occupation is a Pipe Fitter

This might be daughter Ellen's marriage.......

Thank you people. Possibly is the right Ellen Sharrocks as John Sharrocks was married to a Sarah E Lord. No wonder I couldn't find William and Clarissa's marriage - her name spelt differently on everything.
