The info is from his niece, so more is known in as much as they know his exact birthdate if not the year, and I assume parent's names, which would possibly help if there is a tree with his wife and or himself on anywhere online.

google "Married a lady named Barbara Lynch in St. Patrick's Cathedral New York" look at source details and the lady looking is on FB, if anyone feels they can help.

yes, sorry, without a lot more info, particularly where the info provided comes from and what sources the person actually searching has and has consulted, not much can be done

also, you should really explain this to start with

having multiple people asking about something at multiple locations isn't fair to people trying to help who don't know what is being asked or found or discussed elsewhere

I guess you can pass on the advice that the person searching at least obtain the couple's marriage certificate and pass on those details to anybody wanting to help!

I have nothing other than what I put. No I'm not family, just helping a search via FB, from his niece,
if this restricts any help, then thank you for helping so far

so actually he travelled in the latter half of 1950 (not in the 1950s)?

since 1950 minus 18 equals 1932 :-)

or if he travelled before his birthday in the year, it could have been 1931

can you explain the reason for the search? you are related to the couple?

do you know when he married Barbara Lynch? can you get a copy of their marriage certificate?

I don't know about NY marriage certificates specifically, but in many places at least the father and sometimes the mother is named, along with the spouses' ages if not their dates of birth, and sometimes their place of birth ...

do you have his passenger record and can you tell us the details, and how you know it is the correct Michael Walsh?

1932 think going by the year he left Ireland he was supposedly 18

Have been asked if I can help find this person, he came from Ireland, not sure where, and went to New York in the 1950's when he was 18. Married a lady named Barbara Lynch in St. Patrick's Cathecral New York. Can anyone help trace him at all, please, not sure where to go with this one.
Many thanks Linda
