AnnCardiff, there does not seem to be any 'Agnes' in the question, and it is unlikely Abigail was in Saskatchewan in 1916 if she married a year later in Toronto

and there is not much reason to think that John Walker who died in a small Ontario town is the John James Walker born in Toronto ... and the findagrave page says:
'Son of Robert and Agnes (Ferguson) Walker.'
(findagrave records found at familysearch are easily checked at
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi
and should be before posting speculative and unrelated records)

... please really, delete those posts as they are not related

JoonieCloonie Report 13 Apr 2016 19:17

In 1949 in Davenport electoral district there were five John Walkers

one an elevator operator married to Isabella (in 1957 plumber, in 1965 retired, with Isabella so too old) on Margueretta St - not him
one an electro plater married to Elizabeth on Earlscourt Ave
one a carpenter married to Juliet with son J.A. Jr on Salem Ave - not him
one a student living with parents Perce and Rita on Brock Ave - not him
one a banker married to Mrs John on Northcliffe Blvd

do you have any idea of which he might be, so as to try to trace the right person forward?

in 1957

one a professor living with James an accountant and Austa on Salem Avenue - not him
one a pipe fitter in a household with Francis, clerk, Matilda, housewife, John, carpenter, Dorothy, housewife, on Lansdowne Ave, so one of the Johns must be the father - not him

in 1974

John Walker insurance broker on Indian Rd Crescent
John Walker retired on Dufferin St
- neither has a wife present

... of course this is on the just as probably mistaken assumption that son John was in Davenport electoral district, which he quite likely wasn't

a problem with earlier Canadian electoral rolls is that women are identified as 'Mrs husband's name' so unless husband's name is unique it can be difficult to identify households

in 1957, 1962 and 1963 there are no voting children in the James & Abigail household at 461C St Clarens Ave

and they don't seem to have been in Davenport ED before that
