Am looking for my uncle Daughters there names are Jacqueline and Barbara
there Dad name Arnold and mother know as Peggy last heard living in Hampshire
as I have information on there great granddad I would love to pass on to them
hoping someone can help thanks

Try looking in members trees to see if anyone has them listed

could they be married? how old would they be? do they have a middle name?

Arnold Webb appears to have been born in Northampton in 1918.

So possibly:

But cannot see any marriage, unless to Barron/w if Arnold W Webb incorrectly transcribed.

nannynan, not a complete newbie ... surely you can tell that for anyone to help, some idea of ages / birthdates is needed ... for Arnold and his daughters


nannynan does have Arnold 1918 in her tree so that much we know ... as long as that info is accurate

the other person who has Arnold 1918 in their tree has the same surname as a man who married a Jacqueline Webb in 1981 so that could be the connection


I do wonder whether that is not actually the correct Arnold in 1918

that Arnold may have taken a biological or step-father's surname ... he does not appear in the 1939 register and did not marry under that name ... but the death entry matches

(for the 1939 register his record should be visible since he died in 1971 ... no Arnold or Webb to match that birth date)

The Arnold Webb and family in passenger list are the right family and also navy
Have not been able to find marriage so far I know that Margaret was born in northern Ireland Jacqueline middle name is Myra THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE :-)

Margaret Ita's birth surname was Rushton.

Not seeing a birth record for her though.


Since Arnold predeceased Margaret, your best bet to try to find the daughters might be to get Margaret's birth certificate ... a daughter may have been the informant and it could tell you her married surname.

Or of course even better her will. Someone here can explain how to do that, I'm not up on wills and probate.


Good luck with the stroke, and work that brain. :-) My partner had a stroke 3 years ago this month and got excellent rehab, then again just over a year ago but we didn't realise at the time, until it clicked that he had lost considerable physical and mental capacity. He has improved back to where he was before the last stroke now, and is finally getting some more therapy. It gets better, it definitely does, just keep at it!
