If you found the marriage on this site, then you've only accessed the index.

Using the references you found, you can buy a copy to view all details for £9.25
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

The certificate would give her declared age, as well as the occupation and name of her father. Sometimes people lied! If witnesses aren't from Ingram side of the family, they might be from hers.

I have managed to find the marriage certificate on here from when she got married to my father. If she was the same age as my dad she would have been born in 1963.

If it is Northern Ireland then you can use :

http://www.192.com/

https://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk/Electoral_Roll_Search.asp

The link that I gave was for Ireland.

If Monica is about the same age as your father, when would she have been born - or do you have any other information about her, including the marriage certificate?

I did manage to find a Monica McCarthy and a George McCarthy that have numbers registered to Limerick and Tipperary which are quite close together

Welcome to genesreunited, Cameron.

Any idea what part of Ireland?

Irish phone numbers:

https://www.eirphonebook.ie/

Do you know if he kept his surname or could have taken a new one if his Mother remarried?

There is no middle initial for George to help the search.

Hello, my name is Cameron Ingram and I am on the search for my long lost half brother.

I have been searching for my brother since I found out that he existed and I have had no luck. I did not know about these community boards until now so I am hoping that someone may be able to help me. This is all the information I know about him so far.

So when my father and his mother split up Georges mum and him apparently may have moved back to Ireland because they had family there.

His name is George Ingram

He was born at sometime in May 1988 in Lewisham which would make him 28 (I think)

His mothers name and maiden name is Monica McCarthy.

She married my father in 1987 in Westminster. My fathers name is George L Ingram. I am not sure when they got divorced.

I'm really hoping some may be able to help me as I would really love to meet him someday. He doesn't even know that me or his half sister exist so it would be really lovely to meet him someday.

Any help would be appreciated :)
:-)
