Margaret, if you don't have access to Ancestry's deaths index, you could send me that date of birth privately if you like (click on my name) and I could try searching for a death that might match, and see whether there might be a marriage to match if the surname doesn't.

You're welcome, and by the way, I went off on a very enjoyable tangent looking at websites about Lyons Corner Houses, and sent some of them to my mum to enjoy as well!

If you can say more exactly what you are looking for -- for instance, whether Mary/Teresa married? -- we might be able to help more. :-)

A birth certificate with her exact date of birth would help for searching to see whether a death has been registered for her up to 2007 (can search with given names + DOB without a surname).

If you do get the birth certificate, let us know but without posting the exact info here, for privacy in case she is living.

Her birth was registered in 1932 as Teresa?

The other births with the same mother were

John 1930
James 1931
Josephine 1957

That last seems rather unlikely, but the mother's name is the same; there may likely have been another couple with the same surnames.

Born in Cavan in 1932, she moved to London in 1949/50, She had 2 brothers, 1 named James, 1 was in the Army the other was about to go in the Army in 1952 they were living in London. I believe she had a married sister, also she worked in a Lyons corner house, also as a maid. Would love to hear from anyone with any info. Thanks
