Thanks again for the information, I only have access to Find my past so did not know that I could search for wills. You really have helped me/ I have now sent for a copy of the will, it will hopefully tell me if Kathleen and her husband had any children as my searching has been unsuccessful, likewise I have not found any children born to her sister.
If the will fails to identify children then hopefully it will give me information regarding her husband Davids family.

The England & Wales Death Index (on Ancestry) only covers deaths to 2007.

If it is possible that a person has died between 2007 and 2017 and they have made a Will, this is the site I search -

You can apply for a copy of the Will at a cost of £10 (this may give you further information about any relatives)

Many thanks for the info, can you please tell me how you found this information as I have been constantly searching and not been able to find her death. Whilst I am grateful for your assistance, to find that my only traceable relative from my fathers side of the family has passed away before I could contact her is heartbreaking.

Very interesting as when Kathleen, her mum Mary & gran moved from Heywood they moved to Hove and Dover is really not that far away. Marys father, sister Alice and her husband Edwin stayed in Heywood and were there till 1944. By 1945 their house 24 York street had new residents. So thanks again

There were quite a number of Shaw / Holden births after 1936, mainly in Yorkshire and Lancashire - but impossible to know if any of them were Alice & Edwin's children without buying a lot of certificates, which is clearly not practical.

No help with children, I know - but:

Thank you all for you prompt assistance. I have previously identified much of the information you have posted and much of your posts agree with my searches. My problem at this time is that I have not been able to identify there were any children born to Kathleen & David and after 2010 I have lost confirmed search details of their location. I have confirmed their marriage as I have their certificate. My search now is focused on their current address and hopefully any of their children.

Kathleen was born to Mary Kelly (nee Holden) & Patrick (Paddy)Thomas Kelly in 1932. Paddy was killed in a paper warehouse fire in Heywood 1934. In 1936 (approx) Kathleen, her mum Mary and Marys mum Jessie moved to Hove / Sussex. Patrick was the elder brother of my father Thomas Kelly (deceased). Kathleen married David Anthony Walker in 1963, she had graduated as a SRN in 1953. I believe that they lived in Ely / Cambridgeshire for many years. I have not been able to trace any children born to them.
If anyone knows of Kathleen and David and hopefully any extended family I would appreciate any assistance they can provide
