"Following the abolition of Company rule in India, the regiment was transferred to British service. In 1862 it was granted the title ‘Royal’ and formally integrated into the British Army, with the number 102 in the infantry order of precedence.

In 1869 it arrived in Britain for the first time, remaining on garrison duty on the Isle of Wight for six years. It was then stationed on Gibraltar (1876-79), before landing on Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in 1879. It was still there in 1881 when it merged with the 103rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Bombay Fusiliers) to form The Royal Dublin Fusiliers."

hello one and all can anybody help me ?
i have my gr grand father service record, in was in the above for 20 years plus
do anybody know where i can find a picture of the type of uniform of that time
