I am looking for any Elder's that fought in either of the World War's.

Particular from the Scottish Borders

On Findmypast there are nearly 800 "Elder's" on their Military records.

There are these Service records coming up for WW1 (there are other's from other parts of Scotland) the numbers are the No of pages in the record. Only 30% of these records survive so there will probably have been others.:

James Elder abt 1868 Galashiels Roxburgh 12

James Elder abt 1875 Galashiels Selkirk 5

James Elder abt 1879 Melrose Roxburgh 23

John Jardine Elder abt 1879 Lilliesleaf Selkirk 5

WW2 will be more difficult as there are no records online except for those killed.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission's site (GWGC) will have details of those killed in both wars but probably little info on where they were from.

Do you have specific names you are looking for?
