Does anyone know where I can look to find the names of British soldiers who were hospitalised in South Africa during the Boar War of 1899 to 1902 please

Welcome to GR and the Boards Peter.

Its unlikely that you'd find a hospital list, but you may find an individual man's record. That might show if he had been admitted to hospital.

Various subscription sites carry Army records. You could search using the mans name on the National Archive site, then either pay to down load or if directed to another site, ask on here for a subscriber to look on your behalf.

Ancestry has a section for
UK, Casualties of the Boer War, 1899-1902 View Record

Inputting a surname appears to give -
Initial and Surname
Casualty type - ie Killed, Prisoner, Wounded, Died, Drowned, Deserted
Casualty Date
Casualty Place
Regiment

When you open up a record it also gives
Rank, Force, Battalion and Service No
