Anthony Report 30 Apr 2015 01:04

My Grandfather (Ernest Harry TWINNING) had 5 brothers and all 6 were in the services during WW2,

Ernest (HARRY) TWINNING - Marr to Doris Mabel GRIFFITHS 11 Jul 1936
(THOMAS) William George TWINNING - Marr to Maud STOKES 1940
(ROBERT) TWINNING - Marr to Evelyn ROLF or RALPH 1936
(ARTHUR) Edward TWINNING - Marr to Olive Doreen ISLES 1937
(RONALD) TWINNING - Marr to Nancy (in SYDNEY, Aus. June 1945
Royston ( MAURICE) TWINNING - Marr to Mary Josephine WATKINS 28/08/48

The spelling of TWINNING varies, sometimes TWINNING and sometimes TWYNING , they were all born in CHELTENHAM.

Ronald was sometimes known as FRANK and served on the BATTLESHIP (DUKE OF YORK) according to Gloucestershire Echo dated 09 Aug 1946.

Can anyone please help confirm marriage details of Ronald and Nancy

Many thanks

Anthony Hill
