Do you know whether Stanley was at a shore base or on a ship?

Does you friend know whether Stanley..( and perhaps therefore some details ) was named on a baptism record ?

Roughly when did the couple meet?

kath . thank you so much. it looks as if you've got the same data that I ended up with. but when I did more delving, it wasn't the right one. the details of Stanley wallis, is all I have. I'm trying to help out another family member. his mother met Stanley here in Plymouth, but they never married she was born 1919. and he was told that he was older than her. not much to go on. I couldn't get one Stanley needed. that makes me think that he went by a middle name. best wishes. lyn
