I joined this site about 4 weeks ago after finding my great grandfather's diary from 1900. Since then I've met people from all over the world and traced part of my family back to 1600. I've been in contact with cousins I never knew and my family surname list has grown from 20 to about 250. It's great, it's stimulating, I've learned so much about tracing your ancestors without too much financial outlay and my kids have had to learn to boot ME off the pc! For anyone just starting off - be patient, look at the links and tips board and enjoy! Ann
