Many, many thanks for the kind and generous help of the Genes Community on the Message Boards!!!

With your help we found the relatives of soldiers who had been killed in 1940 but who had never known where their brothers, fathers, uncles were buried, nor that the local community in Perranporth had held a remembrance service for them every year for the last 70 years.

There are still three soldiers whose relatives are yet to be found but it took a very short time for the Genes Community to find strong leads that tracked down relatives of the other four.

The messages from the relatives who were found have been quite heart-rending. I cannot thank you enough.

I have kept a blog and website about this here search here:
http://perranporthveteransmissing.posterous.com and have included a link to the Genes Reunited "summary" search thread:

MANY, MANY THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND YOUR GENEROUS GIVING OF YOUR TIME AND EXPERTISE,

Best wishes,
Liz Panton
