Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 189 Send Message	Only started research in late June, entered a Trying to Find notice for a married aunt, when I only had the maiden name and a guess at her son's name. Also she had married an American soldier during/just after the first world war, and had gone to the States with him. I expected this to be a very long shot in the hope that a family member in America might just find it. Within days I had a reply from a second cousin in Dover. My aunt was her grandmother! We confirmed all details, lots of emails, phone calls, and then a meeting at the village in Sussex where we knew many distant relatives [great grandparents] had been staying in the dim and distant past. So from a TTF that I really did not expect to come to fruition for some considerable while, I have now made contact with the Deakin side of my family, of whom I had no previous knowledge [due to being denied any knowledge in previous years]. So, thanks to Genes Connected. Lots more research to be done yet, but now I have found my family, it will be easier. Badger Bill, Worthing
