I found my grandmother's English Hazledine family

My paternal grandparents came to Canada from England in 1904. All we knew of Grandma was that her maiden name was Hazeldene and where she was born in England. I had no trouble finding her and her birth family in census records and thanks to Genes Reunited I received a match to a 2nd cousin living in England. It was the thrill of a lifetime learning about Grandma's family and her English family was equally thrilled to learn where Grandma had settled and what had become of her as, for private reasons, it seems she may not have been in touch with her family after leaving England. Last year my sister and her son visited England and met some of our grandmother's family. What a wonderful time they had sharing information, family traits and just getting to know each other.

Thank you Genes Reunited! We finally have family history and a wonderful extended family we hadn't known about.
