Less than a week after joining genesconnected I found my husband's youngest son from his first marriage. They had not seen each other for 42 years. Several weeks of e-mails followed, and last week they were reunited. We met his wife and son and they met all their new family too. More reunions are in the pipeline. Thank you genesconnected. A week later I found my husband's nephew looking for family information. Now he has nearly 3,000 names to add to his family tree, and a much bigger Christmas Card list! One of the downsides to this site is the realisation that I have been on the wrong track for several generations. I was contacted by someone I believed I was related to. Not so, I'm afraid. I had used information from the Internet without checking it with another source as well. I have rectified the mistake, and learned from it.
