I have been building my tree for about 9 months and I had come to a brick wall. I had found my fathers parents and grandparents details out but could find no trace of his 2 brothers. My father was one of 3 brothers from Bethnal Geen, although I, and 1 of my sisters had a vague memory of being told that one of dad's brothers had been born a twin, we had nobody to confirm this, as both of my parents had died young and we never knew our grandparents. About 5 weeks ago I noticed someone had put my dad's details on and that of one of his brothers, I contacted this member and found she was related (Her mothers sister was married to dad's brother) she told me that 1 of my missing cousins was now living in Australia and that the uncle we knew as george was actually named Ernest George. I had been searching all the usual sites and scanned miles of microfiche for them being born in Bethnal Green the same as my father had. I met up with this new relative 2 weeks ago and she had copies of both my uncle and aunts death and marriage certificates, also a wedding photo that showed my father aged 15. On my uncles death certificate it showed he was born in Swansea, so with this information I checked again and found both my uncle and his twin that nobody knew about. As a long shot I searched for Ernest in Wales and have just discovered that he was born in Cardiff. I have found so many new leads thankyou Genes reunited.
