I was unable to use my platinum to research my Irish relatives as these were not available. As Ancestors has records I assumes Genes would too. Very disappointed.

Linda, Did you not check what records GR hold before you subscribed?

If you have a complaint, send a message to GR using the 'contact us' function under the help button.

However, it is advisable always to check what is being offered before parting with money.

GR is not linked with Ancestry....................it is linked with FMP

Irish 1901 & 1911 census' are both online and free to use.

IGI has loads of Irish records (found my g/grans baptism and burial records) also free.

And as said before, surely you would check any site to what records were available before taking out any subs. Be very naive not to. As well all know not all sites have the same records.

Welcome to the Community Boards Linda.

As Linda is a new poster, I will send a friendly message on how to return to her thread. :-)

New poster or nor (and welcome to GR) surely no one buys anything these days without finding out if it suits their needs.

It is rather like taking a size 6 shoe and then buying a size 4 without trying them in and then complaining to the shop later that they do not fit!!!

Just bemused :-D
