Hi Mike

Just read your reply of 21st again, is it true of all tradesmen that if they worked for someone else they may not be included on the census. Surely they should have been included by the Head of the House
as lodgers.

Any luck with James Neal and Emily Foster marriage in 1828.

Thanks Sue

Also checked out Spondon. Derbyshire, But NO luck I’m afraid
Same goes for Robert……..

Just have this feeling that both might have married in St.George’s Parish Church. ……
Then if so……I’m afraid that ALL Marriage Registers before 1853.
were destroyed by the BIG fire at the Church in 1911.

But for the moment I’m exploring other avenues…….

Hi there
But I have been reading your replies, and none seen to contain Masters.
I really don't know if this is of any consequence.
But I lived in a village Lyddington, Rutland. for yrs.
When my parents and I first moved there. Two old ladies used to live in a house. although only 1 survived when we moved there, and lived as a hermit. The familys although only talk, thro the old village. That they had something to do with teachers at Uppingham & Lyddington school. Although I can't verify this info. It may lead your thoughts farther.
Good luck

Hello Mike

Thank you so much for sorting out my mess!! I shall amend my tree at once and add the occupation of Edward.

Might be difficult to find out who Edward was who died 1809. His mother was Mary Hall who married Edward Hall so I have to sort out which branch of Hall's she came from!!

No it's too late and it's been another long day so I shall not add more confusion - I did enough yesterday!!

Thank you again for your never ending patience

Hi Mike,
I havent been in a long while, and hope you are feeling like your "old self" again!
I am trying to help a lady with "Fox" from Leicester and was wondering if you could find something for me?

Oliver Fox-born 1797-1798 Leicester and married to Ann ? who was born 1800 -Spondon Derby
Is there a maiden name for Ann?
Also their son, Robert Fox born 1825, no marriage found, but shows him as a widower in 1851 census-29 Grandby St. Leicester
and his father and Ann at 33 Granby St.
Can you find a marriage for him?

I would also like to know if Oliver had siblings, and Robert also.
Thank you, Houdini Mike (my name for you because of how you find so much, lol)

Hope your day is a good one, from across the pond
Carol in Ontario!

Hi Mike,

How is the search for a marriage between Henry Harley and maybe a Ann Street going....

But I have another question for you...
How far away are the parishes of St Margaret, All Saints, St Mary and St Martin and Anstey from each other??

Tks again and cheers

Sorry Mike…..confused myself!!

Edward Hall c1775 and Mary Hall c1777 are my 4x G Grandparents. Their son Charles 1799 is my 3x G Grandfather. I want to find out for sure who Charles’ siblings are. On familysearch they give siblings William 1803, James 1805, Mary 1806, Elizabeth 1808, Sarah 1811 and George 1814.

On a separate note, in April I sent you a message enquiring about the marriage of John Hall. On 24th April you sent me a message confirming the details of the marriage of John Hall and Elizabeth Hoster on 4/2/1688.

As well as the above you gave me some added information about Hall baptisms. You put some details of children born to Edward and Mary - Edward 1800, William 1803, Mary 1806, Elizabeth 1808 and Sarah 1811.

Both lists are nearly the same except the family search list has James and George listed and your list has Edward. I want to know if they are all one family and I haven’t made a mistake putting them all as siblings.

Sorry shouldn’t have put anything about John and Elizabeth in first message made it more confusing. Hope that is now as clear as mud!!!

I thought it might be asking a bit much to see if Edward’s occupation was listed!

Sorry for the unclear message, you’re right it has been a long day. Hope I have explained myself better.

“ Your very Welcome Jon O’ Kent…….”

If your puzzling with the months. ? …..

The system goes …

If there is an inquest
And the Cornier is satisfied there is no foul play.
After collecting all the evidence from the parties concerned.

Then he issues “An Interim Death Certificate” So as to bury the deceased.
But the Death can not be REGISTERED until after the inquest.
Hence it was not resisted until April June quarter.

Did not one of your relatives ( Bus Conductor )
