There was another thread on this subject yesterday. Why on earth do you want to print off a tree with 800 names on it?

I did a test on FTM 2010 and a tree chart with just 136 names took up 72 pages.....!

John here.
My understanding is that if your tree exceeds 800 individuals, you can only print off the whole tree, you lose the option to print part of it.

This info sent by email from the GR Team, when I asked why it wouldn't allow me to print off my tree.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I really am stupid at times as I never saw the print bit. I have now printed it out and have it all over the diningroom table. It's so much easier when you can see what you have entered before I add anything else. Once again thank you to all who replied.

Ann, I'm curious as to your reply that GR won't allow you to print off a tree with more than 800 names on it. Where did you get this info from?
I've posted on this problem in the past & not got any answers re printing large trees.
The Help section says:

If you go to your tree you need to select the 'full tree'. You can do this by selecting the 'full tree' view at the top of the page. Click on 'print' to see the print menu. Full instructions are given on how to print out your tree here. You can print the entire tree. You can print a single page too depending on the size of your tree.

You can print out any trees that you have access to in the same way that you print out your own. You must view it in the 'full' tree view and then you'll see the option to print.

There is no mention of any limit to numbers so how do you know it to be 800 please?

If you have more than 800 names on your tree you can't print your whole tree off, it won't allow you to.
