Just wondered if anyone had registered and gained access to the data held on this site. I know that it used to need a subscription but now states that it is free after registration. I registered some time ago but all I get is a message saying that my application is being reviewed by the admin. and I will be advised by email.

Does seem a shame, as the owner must have put in a lot of work and there would seem to be lots of parish information for Notts. and Derbyshire.

Any ideas?

Hello Lorraine

Thanks for the reply.
No specific look up in mind at present as I have loads of relations in Notts. & Derbys.
Thought a browse of the records may bring new info. to light.
Very kind offer and if I need details of a person in Notts. will be in touch.
Thanks again.

At present trying to find details of birth of Benjamin Tatham in Ilkeston abt. 1801.
Could be a nonconformist.

Hi i am registered with the site

I have had a look for Benjamin but nothing is listed 10 years either side of 1801

There appears to be 3 families listed as Tatam, Daniel and Ann, William and Sarah and David and Dorothy

The site lists baptisms, marriage and burials listed under the date and area
I am happy to do look ups for you

Hello Serena

Thanks for your kind offer.

Yes I have seen Tatham transposed many ways.
Benjamin had two marriages.
1/ SOURCE IGI LDS
SARAH HARDY Marriage:
Spouse: BENJAMIN TUTHAM
Marriage: 26 AUG 1822 Ilkeston, Derby

2/ Certificate I have.........
Parish Church Ilkeston Derbys. 27th. July 1850
Benjamin Tatham, Adult Age, Widower, Needlemaker, Kensington.
Father: William Tatham deceased, Frame Work Knitter.
Ann Hardy, Adult Age, Widow, Kensington.
Father: Thomas Scattergood deceased, Lace Maker.
Both Ben & Ann made their mark.
Witness: John Scattergood, Hannah Shepherd (made her mark)

So we know Benjamin's father was William who was dead by 1850.
Wonder if William was mentioned on Marriage 1/ in 1822?

I have been told that Benjamin could not have been born in Ilkeston but on all census until his death in 1879 Ilkeston is given as birth place.

So Benjamin born abt. 1801 to William & ?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks so much for that Serena.

By the way don't know if that website is going to be available for long, I have looked and there seems to be some confusion as to when the domain registration ends.
Perhaps that is why I have heard nothing. Might be worth backing up any records you need.
