Hi Annielaurie

Yes that's their children, I did have their baptism and birth's but although I did have a surname for his wife I could never find their marriage, so that's brilliant news,

Thank you so much, Your kindness, time and effort in looking for me is very much appreciated;

I'd like to wish you good luck in your own research,

Once again Many thanks.

Regards Lou

There are these records at the National Archives - the first lot for the baptisms, followed by an entry which is, I assume, the right marriage

Register of Marriages and Baptisms, 19 Brigade and 5 Brigade Royal Artillery.

Entry 1: William, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 27 March 1859 at Singapore. Note: Born 13 March 1859.

Entry 2: Helena, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 8 September 1873 at Singapore. Note: Born 16 August 1863.

Entry 3: Sarah Lavinia, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 19 July 1868 at Cape Town. Note: Born 5 June 1868.

Entry 4: Patrick, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 19 June 1869 at Rangoon. Note: Born 4 June 1869.

Entry 5: Catherine, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 10 October 1870 at Longford. Note: Born 5 October 1870.

Henry, a child of Patrick BOURKE of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery and Mary, was baptised on 2 October 1873 at Cawnpore. Note: Born 27 August 1873

Patrick BOURKE, of 19 Brigade Royal Artillery, and Maria GREER married on 2 July 1855 at Athlone, West Meath.

Hi Reggie,

Forgot to mention them, already tried with no luck.

Jax

Thanks that helps a lot, I did wonder if it would cover India, but it now looks like World Ancestry isn't really what it says. But thanks anyway.

Good luck to you all and Thank you for your input it's very much appreciated.

Regards Lou

Although Ancestry says its world...it's not

Uk.USA.Australia<Canada and New Zealand (don't think there are any bmd'd for NZ) really are the only countries covered and not everything

Edit just noticed a few European places but few and far between

I have them in 1871 in England and have just found a birth for their last child in India.

Patrick Bourke Head b 1835 Ireland Occ Royal Artillery
Maria / Mary Bourke wife b 1837 Ireland
William son b 1859 Singapore
Helena dau b 1863 Singapore
Sarah dau b 1868 Africa
Patrick son b 1869 India
Catherine (Kate) dau b 1870 Ireland
Henry b 1873 India

I have Patrick Snr in 1841 living with his parents and again in 1871 living in Kent England. I cannot find him after that. The last known address was in Kent in 1871 until yesterday when I discovered this latest child born in India. I found his baptism along with all the other siblings so know it's the correct family.

I don't know what records are available on World Ancestry or if it's possible to find the family living in India or if they ever returned to England.

So absolutely anything that could be found would be brilliant.

I have Helena's husband and family to present day but I don't know where she married - have presumed India as her husband went there in 1879.

I'd love to find their marriage certificate, I've tried fibis, family search and all the free online bmd sites with no luck.

Thank you so much in advance for anything that could shed some light on this family.

Regards Lou
