Yes it should be via your email, have you a junk mail filter on your email? If so, check that in case it has gone straight to the trash.

I am right thinking they will contact me through my Email addy and not through Freebmd webpage?

Maybe they are on holiday, I dont know what happens when a co-ordinator goes away, whether you get notified or not.

Hi I dont know if I have signed up for Handwritten Copies??? I just clicked on the Syndicate because it had a Uk Co-ordinator and havn't heard a thing since. Im eager to start maybe I am just being too Impatient although a lot of people that have come on this thread have said it has only been a few hours and they have had stuff sent to them.... I even sent Angela another Email asking her how long I should wait for the info and she hasnt replied yet either :~(

Sorry you are having to wait so long, it may be because you signed up for the handwritten list. I know when I registered and then signed up with Lesley, she sent me an email telling me what we were transcribing and a link to where to access my page from, so it was allvery straight forward.

I still havn't heard from anybody Ahhh wish they would hurry up lol

Thanxs Andrea for the encouragement... I am waiting for them to send me a Tester Page and it seems forever since I registered (11Pm Lastnight) lol Everyone on here has been so helpful as usual and they have bullied me into trying it lol I was only enquiring lol

I used to transcribe for them. The hardest part of it is setting it all up on your PC, but they give you step by step instructions so it's not hard at all. After that, all you have to do is type up what you see. You can put certain symbols in if you are unsure of what it says and they are checked once you send them up so you don't need to worry about getting it wrong. You don't need a scanner or anything like that - you don't even need a printer. Give it a go and if you don't like it, just let them know. Anything you do helps us all. Marlene When I logged on with my Submitters ID I am now on * File Management for (ME) with info of how many Files per Page with little Dots to highlight for (.)Filename ( )Warnings ( )date Modified ( )Size Should I go on Homepage?

I am with ScribeScan (top of the list ) on bmd, Lesley is really helpful. You can go ahead and download the software ready, I use WinBMD to transcribe into. I also find Irfan View invaluable to open the page to be transcribed in, it makes it easier to read. There is a place where you can subscribe to for help from other transcribers, the messages are sent by email, can't remember where I found that out. Hope it goes well
