Hello Jess I'm sorry if I missed the reply I've been checking your posts yesterday & today did you have any luck with my Bernardo's 1871 census? And Hannah Cochrane & Mary 1861 census? I don't want to have missed your reply but also as a newbie I wasn't sure how long to leave you to do the research you really do seem to have been busy with requests. I had originally omitted the census date which really didn't help. Hope this is OK Kind regards Jenny

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 20 Mar 2005 12:55

Hi Jess Thanks so much. Ihave found John & his wife on the 1881 with the children as listed on my previous thread. By 1901 Arthur was already married & not with them anymore(makes it difficult as couldnt find Arthur & his wife Elizabeth on the 1901 too) as havent found John & wife Esther on 1901 either dont no who still at home with them or even if thery had died before the 1901. Whwn Arthur married in 1896 John was on the marriage cert as dad but didnt say deceased. Would like to no where the family were in 1891. & indeed where John & his wife Esther were in 1871 ,given that they married in 1870,aged 22 & 18. In 1881 the family of John & Esther were living at 11 Bohn Street London Middlesex Hope this seems less confusing. John Batchelor birthplace n the 1881 census states Holloway & Esther ,s is Bethnal Green. So its John & Esther , the parents ,with any family at home that I,m interested in in 1871/1891/1901. Hope this not too much work to ask for. Many Thanks.Shirley

I presume with son John, but (others not born) in 1901 with Esther as his wife and prob 2 x James and maybe Arthur? Confused as to where John fits in! jess
