I am trying to trace this family name McDowell who were Married 1814 - 1835 Stoke Damerel/ East Stonehouse Deaths 1824 - 1837 - 1841 Plymouth Devon Where did William b 1792 come from how can I find him if he was born in Ireland ???? Gratefull for any advice [email protected] |

Not born in Devon but usually McDowell spelt this way is Irish if that helps. Good luck Linda |

Joyce Do you know Williams Children's names and their approx date of births. Alfred Ernest McDowells was born Mar quarter 1872 Number 5b 345in Stoke Damerel. Could not find a marriage for him. William is not his dad so Do you know who Alfreds Parents were and their dates of Birth? Jane |

A kind person from Genes found John McDowell and Charlotte married 1835 Stoke Damerel or East Stonehouse Childrens births which were slightly different to mine Louisa b 1838 Pembroke st Devon Amelia b 1840 Rosina b 1843 married William Cundy 20/10/1862 Ellen b 1842 William Henry b 1847 married Editha Harriott Rundle 1869 St Mary Devonport Children Elizh b 1869 Alfred Ernest b 1871 married May Mary Wyatt 1900 Portsmouth William b 1873 Emily b 1875 Edmund b 1879 died 1925 buried in a war grave Portsmouth with another Naval chap How can I find the Marriages or Deaths as I dont know where to look Any Help Appreciated Joyce |
