Hi Penny, Thanks for the look-up . In response to your question~John HAWKER was born in Somerset, possibly Combe St Nicholas Chard, to James and Mary Hawker around 1815. Mary Ann Harris was born in Devon ? Britford according to 1841 census. James HAWKER born Wadeford c. 1786, SOM, Mary born Chaffcombe, Som. c1780 Marion

Hi Dawn Nothing on the Covell/Carnell marriage, but as you've got the date etc, why don't you apply for the marriage certificate? It will give you the fathers' names and occupations - another step backwards!! Penny

Hi Penny, If possible could you please do a look up for me. Its a marriage between, JAMES BROWNLOW and MARY HARDMAN. The marriage I think took place in Bolton Lancashire, I think it is sometime in 1836_1840. I hope this isnt to many yrs for you to look through, but I cant find them on the LSD or FreeBMD. It could have been earlier than 1836, but I dont think its any later than 1840 is almost certainly earlier rather than later. Many thanks, Maggie

Hi, if you have a moment could you please search for the folowing in Plymouth or Devonport (Stoke Damerel) --- John (lambert?) Burns born in approx 1844 possibly living in Plymouth or Stoke Damerel. The marriage of ALFRED COVELL to ELIZA CARNALL, at St. Hilda's Church, in South Shields.....11th of June, 1874. I need to know the name of Alfred's father, to be able to get further behind.
