dear Dea.
thank you for the info , why couldnt i find him.
i now Thomas was on the 1891 census but his wife Sarah was down as a widow on the 1901.
i looked through the death records between 1891-1901 but couldnt find him.
all can think of is he left his wife, because of the shame she put herself down as awidow.
will be interseting to see if he remarried.
the bit about the Sarah Bacon down as mother in law should have been Sarah Warman, some one made a mistake when filling in the census.
thanks again for your help

Well, I believe I have found Thomas's wife on 1901 and she is marked as a widow !
This means that Thomas would have died between 1891 and 1901, but I can't find him yet.

Thomas + Sarah's daughter Hepzibah (what a lovely name to follow) married in 1899:

Marriages Jun 1899
Bacon Nehemiah Billericay 4a 831
Warman Hepzibah Florence Billericay 4a 831
.......................

Here is Hepzibah on 1901 using her middle name Florence:

1901 England Census

I believe the above Sarah is Thomas Warman's widow Sarah Warman !! -
Nehemiah's parents were Nehemiah + Jane on previous census.

Hope this may help?
