In the 1881 census it shows him being a signalman for (NER) presume north east railways,he was married to Elizabeth M Warnes they had a son called William J Warnes B 1879 and George A Warnes B 1881?

No, Sorry I am not a relative, just trying to help you out.

If you do a "search Trees" on top toolbar you will see a few who seems to have William in their trees--you could send them a message to see if it is the same William as you have in yours. (if you haven't already done so, of course ) :-)

This MAY have been his death index --but once again I'm not Sure
