I am trying to find the birth, the first wife, her death and the family of John Thomas.
he married his second wife Ellen Redman in 1910 registered in Neath

1911 census ... Born 1877 Merioneth Llanglynnin
Family bible Born 15th Sept 1876 at Ynys Gyffylog Farm, Artog, Dolgellau
Died 10th Feb 1923 at 18 Roman Rd Neath

We think he was firstly a farmer, then a pithead manager, and later a station manager. He had a daughter Wyfanwy , and two sons one was called Iolo, who we think went to Canada.

Maybe a brother to John as they are born around same year

Yes I have tried searching freebmd, & Family search. Am currently wondering if he changed his name to John when he married Ellen. Have found all John & Ellen's children. Ellen & John were my husband's grandparents.

Yes John was a widower.

Do not know Myfanwy's married name but we understand that she took in her baby brother when her mother died. Somewhere in the back of my husband,s memory there was also a Robert and cousins Calven who owned a chip shop in Seven sisters.

Sadly we can't find anything about them. It is as if John cut himself off from the older family.
The bible starts with John and Ellen's marriage on Wednesday 11th May 1910 at Cadoxton Church, Neath, S Wales

In my Mother in laws lifetime (Olwen) I once asked about her half brothers and sisters but she said she did not know, they were not her sisters but Dad's children

I am having trouble finding the census for 1901 in Lancashire on Find my past . but why they were there seems strange. We thought the first family lived in Wales.

I can't find these. I noticed that the info you found was 1881 Wales section. Should I be looking in a different place than Find my past
