I am having trouble finding the census for 1901 in Lancashire on Find my past . but why they were there seems strange. We thought the first family lived in Wales.

The family in 1901 looks good. and 1911 Iolo Spelt with a J . I will follow these leads and hope they go back to the Farm

There is no reason not to try to find out the name of John's father.........it will be on his marriage cert

The bible starts with John and Ellen's marriage on Wednesday 11th May 1910 at Cadoxton Church, Neath, S Wales

In my Mother in laws lifetime (Olwen) I once asked about her half brothers and sisters but she said she did not know, they were not her sisters but Dad's children

Do not know Myfanwy's married name but we understand that she took in her baby brother when her mother died. Somewhere in the back of my husband,s memory there was also a Robert and cousins Calven who owned a chip shop in Seven sisters.

It is this first family we are trying to put together.

Yes I have tried searching freebmd, & Family search. Am currently wondering if he changed his name to John when he married Ellen. Have found all John & Ellen's children. Ellen & John were my husband's grandparents.
