Just a thought ,I suppose you have looked up the deaths on BMD ? - if you send for the death certificates you may solve the puzzle and if Dea is right then you may find it as the cause of death. Blood poisoning perhaps Look forward to hearing the outcome and Good Luck ! |

Thank you Carmen my Great-grandfather was a wool worker, what I fail to understand is that we have people born & died there that makes me think its a poor house. |

The factory at Tanygrisiau in the parish of ffestiniog was thought to be a "Fulling mill," that is a place where wool was washed and prepared, or felted for the wool trade, it is thought to have been built around 1840 according to Steffan ab Owain |

Hi Saltie I have also googled and nothing .Can only sugest that you find a phone number for a museum in the same area and ask as the name my be a local term for a poor house or simalar. Good Luck but would be intrested to find out. |
