Thomas Vincent Amon Born 1798 Dover Kent. He died in 1876 Hampshire so would like to know where abouts he was in 1871 and whether his wife was with him. I can't find her death as all I know of her is her name Elizabeth. Possible his name would come under Hammon or Hammond. |

Did you get the family in 1851 mistranscribed. |

Just a quick one, I have just had a look at a couple of messages I had printed out on the Amon's in Feb 2007 and it is the correct family as Richard (comes under James surname on 1891 Census) states was born Swanage Dorset now living in folkestone but one of the people with them at the time is my grandmother Florence 3 G daughter so it obviously has to be the correct family. The next time I see Richard in 1901 claims he was born in Burnen, (Burnham) Norfolk It seems to be coming together. |

Yes that is correct, I have all of that family correctly. I don't particularly want to get the death certificates unless it is absolutely necessary. I think perhaps it might be worth while to get the marriage certificate of Richard James Amon and Charlotte Miles, but I do know that the parents are Thomas Amon and Elizabeth. I had a good look through my files last night and it certainly looks as if they are all connected. Everything seems to lead back to the family, I wrote it all down and checked it out, it always looks better this way. |

Thanks Margaret, the only problem is that I can't access any of the census other than the 1881 as I am not a member. I will remember that though. |
