Thanks Sam, a couple of quick questions. I know that 'otp' is of this parish but what is that "ba B" bit, and the "sp MERCER Charles RICE Ann" bit at the end as this has thrown me a bit.

Hi Sam, I have a `brickwall` that I have been unable as yet to knock down.
My ancestor Charles Welch was baptised 1805 in Maidstone but his name was given as Welchgray.
I think that his parents were William Welch and Jane Gray. Would you see if you could find a marriage for them in Maidstone please?

Hi Sam,

Could you look up the marriage of Augustus William Mantell m Ann Woodlands c. 1800 (+/- 5 years) in Sellinge or Dover, Kent. And Ann Woodlands also married Henry Kennett in abt 1808, Sellinge, Kent.

And the marriage of Henry Mantell and Mary _____ btw 1765 - 1777 in Sellinge or Monks Horton, Kent.

Charles Mercer and Ann Rice were the witnesses sorry I should have put that. Ba is bachelor and Sp spinster.The captial B means Banns.
