Sharon, how do you know that Thomas is George's father? Thomas would have been 59 years old at time of George's birth.
I have a Thomas Thopmas born 1829 but that was in Cornwall

Hi everyone,
George Fredrick Thomas died on the 24/8/1914 in Solm(sorry not quiet sure of the spelling) France. I know that he had a son George born in London and maybe a daughter Bessie. Charlotte Richardson remarried after George died.
I have been trolling through the records myself but with no success!! I did find on one of the other sites Father: Thomas Thomas Mother: Mary Anne Elizabeth Judkins with a son George Fredrick Thomas but couldn't any further as I am not a member.

I have checked the Commonwealth War Graves site again and there is no record of a George Frederick Thomas who died on the date you give for his death and I would have expected him to be recorded if he died at the Somme.
